What I Wore on My Trip to Pittsburgh

I recently took a trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and had an absolute blast! My friend here in Austin, Danielle, is originally from there and she invited my sister and I to join her on a trip for the holidays since we aren't able to see our mom this year. As excited as I was for this trip, I was a little nervous about packing for the trip because I'm a huge baby when it comes to the cold! We would be visiting the East Coast in mid-December, so I knew it'd be just slightly colder than Texas... (sarcasm!)

I made sure to be as prepared as possible for the trip, without exceeding that 50 lb. luggage weight limit! In this blog post, I'll be sharing the outfits I wore and other essentials I brought as well on my trip to Pittsburgh! Enjoy!

Please note that I don't have the exact link for the boots pictured above! The brand of those boots is "Soda" and I got them at a consignment shop last year. That said, I did link similar boots and a pair from the same brand above that are equally as cute!

I got a lot of compliments on these outfits and felt very confident (and warm) in these looks! I also found that the key to surviving in this weather is layering. I wore very thick warm socks, gloves, and an undershirt with every outfit and was able to take those layers off once I was inside my destination. That said, traveling to Point A to Point B can be freezing, so layering saved me for sure! Here are a few other items that I feel were ~travel necessities~ for this long distance trip:
