How to Throw the Best Bachelorette Party in Austin, Texas!

I first visited Austin, Texas in April of 2021 and instantly fell in love with this city! The food, the people, the endless number of things to do... it instantly became one of the best places I've visited! I loved it so much that I decided to move here in June 2021 and now can't imagine myself living anywhere else.

Because there is so much to do in Austin, it draws so all kinds of people, especially bachelor and bachelorette parties! In this blog post, I'll be sharing my recommendations my a bachelorette party in Austin, Texas! Enjoy!

WHERE TO STAY

+ WHEN TO GO

WHERE TO STAY: What is more important to you? Aesthetics or location?

If aesthetics are more important to you, I highly recommend staying at the Pink House ATX (not sponsored, I just found this while doing AirBNB research and fell in love!) I will say that this accommodation is more on the pricey side, but it is so stunning and there honestly isn't a more perfect spot to host a large bachelorette party. Here is their Instagram account too!

If location is more important to you, I recommend trying to find an AirBNB that is as close as possible to downtown, but still has a pool.

WHEN TO COME: As for time of year to come, I cannot express enough how hot it gets in Austin, Texas. The bridal parties who come at the peak of summer are absolutely miserable, so try your best to avoid coming to Austin between the months of June - September. Ideally, you will come to Austin for your bachelorette party in April or May. It will still be warm, but your makeup won' t be melting off of your face!

FRIDAY

3:00pm - Check into your accommodation

4:00pm - Decorate your space for the bride! And don't be afraid to be cheesy! All of my bachelorette party favorites can be found on my Amazon Idea List!

6:00pm - Invite the Cocktail Cowboys over for an evening pool party! The Cocktail Cowboys threw my friends and I a party and we had so much fun. They aren't male strippers, they are a party hosting / bartending / butler service who really know how to have fun! Check out their website for more info!

What to do after the Cocktail Cowboy Party...

Option 1

Your group will most likely be pretty exhausted after a day of travel and partying with the Cowboys! Order takeout or pizza in and have some much-needed bonding time. Play a few bachelorette party games, talk out the pre-wedding nerves, and put on the bride's favorite movie while you wind down and prep for a busy rest of your weekend!

Option 2

Get dolled up and grab a fancy dinner at a cathedral themed two story restaurant, Higher Ground, or one of the most popular restaurants in Texas, 1618 Asian Fusion!

Option 3

If your group is still up for more partying, take an Uber to West 6th Street! Grab dinner at Taquero Mucho Mexican Food and walk across the street for more drinking & dancing! Start out at Green Light Social (heavy pours lol), then hit up Buford's (a younger crowd but alway popping), and end your night at Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

SATURDAY

10:00am - Head over to the most adorable pink coffee shop Revival Coffee for a morning pick-me-up!

11:00am - Grab brunch at Paperboy (if they're taking reservations, make sure to make them)

2:00pm - Rent a boat (with a driver!) on Lake Austin (check out party cove!) or Lake Travis, depending on where you're staying. Make sure to pack an ice chest with cold drinks & snacks. Don't forget that sunscreen either! If you're not up for renting a boat like this but still want to be on the water, you can check out Retro Boat Rental or rent paddle boards / kayaks!

6:00pm - Head back to your accommodation and get ready for dinner

7:00pm - Catch a rooftop sunset at one of my favorite restaurants, P6 at The Line Hotel! Make a reservation ahead of time.

8:30pm - If you're still hungry after P6 since they have a smaller menu, don't worry! Up next on the itinerary is partying on Rainey Street and there are a ton of food trucks (that are actually delicious) to check out!

9:00pm - Now go crazy on Rainey Street! I recommend starting out at The Tipsy Alchemist and bar hopping from there! A few popular spots: Unbarlievable, Lustre Pearl, Clive, and Electric Shuffle!

Alternatively...

8:30pm - Explore a different part of town instead of Rainey Street - or - after Rainey Street... East Austin! Two-step to some country music at The White Horse and then walk on over to Hotel Vegas (note an actual hotel!) to dance to some club music!

SUNDAY

You're still alive?! Austin is such a fun city but I know that cramming all of this into one weekend can be overwhelming and exhausting! But this is your last day so make the best of it!

10:00am - Hungover breakfast at your accommodation

11:00am - Get ready to head out and explore South Congress!

12:00pm - Grab a yummy Mediterranean lunch at Aba (one of my favorite spots!) and make sure to order the hummus for the table with extra pita!

2:00pm - Walk around South Congress and explore all of the shops! Make sure to check out Allen's Boots and to take a picture in front of the "Greetings from Austin" mural!

4:00pm - Head back to your accommodation & pack up!
