START SPREADING THE NEWSSSS! Because Matt + I are heading to New York! If you haven't realized yet, I am huge on itineraries! I love researching all of the incredible restaurants, activities, + attractions that cities have to offer to ensure that we don't miss out on anything when we go. One of the worst feelings ever is when someone asks you:
"Oh you went to fill in destination here?? Did you see the fill in incredible experience you missed because you didn't plan ahead?! "
And you did not, in fact, get to experience whatever they asked you about due to lack of research + planning ahead. That's where I come in: your itinerary expert! And more specifically for this blog post, your New York itinerary expert! So let's jump right in!
After re-watching Gossip Girl for the fourth (or fifth... who knows anymore!) time, I decided to create my own list of bucket list of foods I wanted to eat, things I wanted to do + places I wanted to explore when visiting The Big Apple next:
1) Walk the Brooklyn Bridge (to visit Dan Humphrey, duh!)
2) Go to the top of the Empire State Building!
3) Take a romantic stroll through Central Park!
4) Eat a New York bagel for breakfast!
5) Get a cool drink at the Sugar Factory!
6) See the Kelly + Ryan show!
7) Find a cool rooftop bar to go to with a view of the skyline!
8) Find the Flatiron Building!
9) Grab a slice of New York pizza!
10) Pretend I'm Serena Van Der Woodsen + explore the Upper East Side!
...should be easy to cram into four days, right?!
MY LONG FLIGHT MUST-HAVES
Okay, so I know that is an ambitious list of items to cross off for less than a week in New York City, but it is totally doable! Just make sure to bring with you a portable phone charger + a comfortable pair of walking shoes. For context, Matt + I travelled to NYC from Sacramento, California. We took a red eye flight on Thursday to save time + money!
8:00AM - 10:00AM || Uber from airport to hotel + drop bags off until we are able to check in (We stayed at the Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel on West 35th St.: the rooms were small but the hotel was so trendy + cute!)
11:00AM - 12:00PM || Walk across the Brooklyn Bridge
12:00PM - 2:00PM || Lunch in Brooklyn
4:00PM - 5:00PM || Head to the Top of the Rock to get an aerial view of the city
6:00PM - 8:00PM || Exploring Times Square + all its random shops

9:00PM - 11:30PM || Stay the Meatpacking District to grab a cool drink at Sugar Factory + check out other cool bars in the area!

6:00AM - 6:30AM || Able to score tickets to the Kelly + Ryan Show?! Get to the check-in point early as possible to get the best seat possible. Bring hand-warmers- you have to stand outside!
7:15AM - 8:00AM || Keep waiting...
9:00AM - 10:00AM || IT'S SHOWTIME! Oh hey Kelly + Ryan!!!
10:30AM - 11:00AM || Head back to hotel to grab things
11:00AM - 12:00PM || Since we knew we'd be cutting it close on time with the show, we had a private car scheduled to pick us up so we didn't have to worry about waiting on an Uber to arrive
